James Harvey is an NCTJ Gold Standard journalist and writer, featured on The Guardian, BBC 5Live, BBC Radio York, Total Film, Great Big Story and whynow, currently Contributing Editor for Film Stories Magazine and Assistant Editor for Film Junior – the UK’s only regular film magazine for the under-14s.
Specialising in film and theatre, he’s also written about everything from abandoned shopping centres to General Elections. He’s interviewed Richard Curtis, Robert Eggers and Ludwig Göransson. He produces and hosts Home Chat: The Noël Coward Podcast and regularly proofreads for Rock Sound Magazine and others.
As a scriptwriter, he’s taken three shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, worked with YouTube accounts with more than 10m subscribers and written scripts, treatments and pilot proposals for award-winning production companies in both fiction and non-fiction.
